We created the 1st version of the museum in the old Hinds AHS building in 2017.

Staff and faculty visit

Our Soft Opening in the old AHS facility

Employees and students visited the space. Visitors to the campus were given tours on a limited basis. Panels and historical photographs were shown in this space.

We utilized two classrooms in addition to the hallway for our exhibits. These exhibits included uniforms, awards, and the Centennial video.


I had no idea that the Utica Campus had such a rich history! I didn’t know it was an HBCU!
